In the early hours of Tuesday 10th, May 2022, OBcare Foundation paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Lady Mfon Ann Onukak at Ekpene Ukim, Uruan LGA in Akwa Ibom State.
Mfon was until her death the incumbent National Secretary of CISCANEN network, and the Executive Director of Cinderella Foundation, Uyo.
The Executive Director (ED) OBcare Foundation, was represented by the team members, led by the Programmes Coordinator, Mrs. Grace Idobo; M & E, Mr. Victor Ifot; Admin Officer, Miss Emem Israel; Public Relations Officer, Princess Victoria Umoh; Finance Officer, Emem Timothy; and the Welfare/Medicals, Pharm. Archibong Ekpe-Idang; and.
In her speech, the Public Relations Officer, Princess Umoh made a brief introduction of the team and also described the deceased as a go-getter and a resilient advocate in the fight against cancer, and was one of the pioneering members of the OBcare Foundation.
She added that death is an inevitable end of every mortal, the time and occasion notwithstanding.
Princess Umoh reiterated that OBcare Foundation will certainly miss Mfon dearly as her death is a colossal loss to the organization and that her place can never be replaced because we are all uniquely gifted and Mfon was a loving soul to work with.
Lastly, she prayed that the Almighty God will comfort her aged mother and other members of the family.
The Programmes Coordinator, Mrs. Grace Idobo on behalf of the Foundation donated a few items to the deceased family in preparation for the burial.
Responding, the deceased younger sister, Ime Onukak representing the family, thanked the OBcare team for the good gesture and also identifying with them in their time of grief. She prayed that God will bless the foundation and enlarge her coast while wishing the team members safe arrival at their destination.
